Book review: "The Yawn Heard 'Round the World" by Scott Thomas

This is a cute story with some fun artwork. It shows how a yawn spreads from person-to-person (and sometimes via animal) all the way around the world.

Some of it is just silly fun. For example: "A lady with three fancy poodles / dug into her plate of noodles / then plopped into a soggy snooze. / They put it on the morning news."

The book falls short in one respect: In racing from place-to-place around the world, it lacks a continuing character. Kids like a character they can follow, and identify with, throughout a book.
