Book review: "A Cuddle for Claude" by David Wojtowycz

This is a cute and warm book that my kids don't grow tired of.

There's no great adventure here, nor any deep educational lesson. But the kids just like the simple story of a boy who wants to get cuddled by his mother and fears that she doesn't love him anymore. There's a happy ending, of course.

My wife, I should note, also likes this book, but has one issue: Though the mother is too busy to cuddle, it turns out she's only busy because she was preparing a surprise for her son.

It would be nice, my wife notes, for children to learn that sometimes the world doesn't revolve around them, and that sometimes parents are busy for reasons that have nothing to do with their kids.
