I've read a lot Goosebumps books to my kids, and "Egg Monsters from Mars" one is probably
one of my least favorite in the series.
Oh, it's not a bad book – in fact, like most
in the series, it has a plot that moves briskly along and is good for
some mild entertainment.
But there were two things I didn't like.
First, the title gives too much away. The first half of the book
involves a boy who finds a mysterious egg and wonders what it is. But if
you've read the title of the book – and of course you have! – there's
no mystery.
Second, I didn't like the ending much. It seemed rushed and left too many questions unanswered.
