People convicted in the Bernard Madoff scandal




The following people have been convicted for their part in the $65-billion investment fraud run by financier Bernie Madoff. Some of them have not been sentenced yet because they are cooperating in the continuing government investigation.                      

Bernard H. Madoff pleaded guilty in March 2009. In June 2009, he was sentenced to 150 years in prison.

Frank DiPascali Jr., chief financial officer in Madoff's firm, pleaded guilty in August 2009.

David Friehling, auditor, pleaded guilty in November 2009.

Eric Lipkin, payroll manager for Madoff's firm, pleaded guilty in June 2011. 

David Kugel, supervising trader, pleaded guilty in November 2011. 

Enrica Cotellessa-Pitz, controller, pleaded guilty in December 2011.  

Craig Kugel, son of David Kugel, pleaded guilty in June 2012.

Peter Madoff, brother of Bernard Madoff and once an officer in the investment firm, pleaded guilty in June 2012. In December 2012, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Irwin Lipkin, controller, pleaded guilty in November 2012.
